Religious Education at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral is an opportunity for children and families to grow together in faith and in their relationship with Christ. Through Scripture, prayer, Catholic teaching, and community, we strive to nurture a lasting foundation of faith and a love for the Church. We welcome families who wish to grow deeper in their Catholic faith and discover the joy of following Jesus.

Who Can Join RE?
| ALL K-12 students are Welcome! **
We typically have classes for the following grade levels...
- K/1st Grade
- 2nd Grade / First Communion*
- 3rd/4th Grade
- 5th/6th Grade - Confirmation*
- 7th-12th Grade - Youth Group
*First Communion & Confirmation are Sacramental classes.
**Available classes are subject to change based on how many students there are at each grade level.

When is RE?
| Sundays - 10 minutes after Mass
for 45-60 minutes.
2026/2027: October 4th, 2026 thru May 2nd, 2027.
We follow the holiday and school breaks to allow for families to travel out of town.

Where is RE located?
| In the Rectory
The main Rectory door will be unlocked when DRE has things ready.
|
What is the Cost?
| $25.00 per child,
not to exceed $75.00 per family.
(Cash or Check made out to St. Francis de Sales)
*If you are unable to pay, please let us know and we can see if funds are available.

Attendance Requirement?
| Attendance will be taken and reported
to the parish priest to ensure proper preparation.
|
- Confirmation is a 2-Year Program in the Diocese of Baker.
- The next three cycles for Confirmation with Bishop Hennen are 2027, 2029, and 2031
- Certificates: If your child was Baptized or received First Communion outside of St. Francis de Sales, please provide a copy of their certificate(s) to the DRE.
- New to parish? If you are new to the parish, please provide a copy of your child's birth certificate.
- RE Calendar: The RE schedule/calendar will be given to your student once classes have begun.
- We will publish the calendar online once all dates are solidified.
